Field Note #3
In the practice of oral history, we ask our narrators to look within at their life history and the choices they made in the recent or not so recent past. In doing so, we open them up to the act of remembering — something that for some may not be easy and/or simple. We must proceed with caution. Especially in situations when the internal search for memories and speaking out loud the memories can be triggering and not lead to resolution.
